I do not see a way to alter or access workbook tab groups.
1. load a blank excel file that has one sheet
2. add a second sheet.
3. save it.
4. open the saved file in microsoft excel. You will see that both sheets are grouped.
I have tried using .selectedsheet. Has no effect on tab groups.
This behavior is not in FreeOffice. I have not tried LibreOffice yet.

This is fixed now. Use the property TabSelected to set if a tab is selected or not. Example: XLS[1].TabSelected := True;
