Since June 17th there has been no new article or information. So what is happening at Axolot?

Right now there is a big problem with spam. I must have account login activated, otherwise the forum will be flooded with porno ads. Unfortunately, the spammers also try with bogus account registrations, that I can't differ from real. So I have to deny all registrations, unless someone sends me a mail with the newly registered account login.
Most posts are by new users, and hence the forum looks pretty dead.
I shall try to find a solution on this problem.
