xlsReadWriteII4 version 4.00.19
Delphi 2009, all latest patches applied
I have been experiencing some challenges with an application that crashes after any routine that uses XLSreadWriteII4 has been executed once, on the second itteration the program crashes. By a process of elimination I traced this back to the XLSReadWriteII4 component when it write a spreadheet to a file.
In the development environment the UserName property shows a a long string with some strange characters which look suspiciously like a pointer going astray and pointing into some code e.g.
††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††〴္ཆဪཆ၎ཆၱཆ႖ཆႹཆკཆᄁཆᄨཆᅋཆᆐཆᆶཆᇘཆሁཆሦཆቋཆቯཆናཆኵཆዖཆዺཆጟཆፁཆ፧ཆᎎཆ
When I eliminate this spurious data my problems apparently go away (although removing this code will sometime crash the development environment).
If I remeber correctly version 4.00.15 showed the same characters in the userName property but seemed not to cause any problems.
