Table cells color in preview panel but not in MSWord file

I used the example “Tables” to find out how to color cells. That works perfectly on the preview pane, but the color does not appear in the MSWord file.
Below are the preview and the MSWord images to show the results (I hope) of “Create a Table”, followed by “Borders and Colors”.

In addition, changing the border colors also does produce problems in the cell corners (upper right, lower left and lower right corners: lines do not close).

Is there a way to solve this problem? Showing a fill color is more important than changing the border colors.

I inserted the pictures file names between <img> and </img> but I am not sure this makes the pictures visible.

I have the same problem, of cell colors only showing in the Preview.
Has this problem been fixed in an update, yet?

Have you tried the latest update? As you can see, the first posting is more than 4 years old...

I have the latest version 1.

The main motivation for my question was to find out, whether it is worth upgrading to version 2.
I couldn't find anything in the changelog, hence I was asking here.
